Priorities
-
1.
Putting our community first.
I am passionate about our City and its people. I live in the East District, send my children to school here, and spend my time and my money in our local neighborhoods. We deserve leaders who are accessible, responsive, and focused on our community’s needs. As your Councilmember, I will show up, listen, and advocate for you and all our neighbors every day.
-
2.
Housing options for every stage of life.
Like most cities in our country, Rochester is in the midst of a housing crisis. It’s critical that we have a Councilmember who understands the wide range of needs in the East District. I commit to supporting diverse housing options for renters, first-time homebuyers, residents trying to age-in-place, and growing families. Regardless of your stage of life, whether you live with family, friends, or on your own, you should be able to find a home and thrive in the East District.
-
3.
Supporting small businesses and commercial corridors.
The East District is home to many vibrant small businesses and some of the best shopping and dining in the Greater Rochester region. But some of our commercial corridors, like Monroe Avenue, need help. We need a District Councilmember who will listen to small business owners, work collaboratively with our partners in government, and foster community-focused investment to strengthen the fabric of our neighborhood corridors.

4.
Thoughtful and effective public safety.
We need to further reduce violent crime and address quality-of-life issues by using a thoughtful and evidence-based approach. I support community policing, violence prevention, crisis response, and expanding educational and job opportunities and services for all residents, because shared prosperity and public safety go hand in hand.
